Hours & Appointments
Old Salem Kennel operates strictly by appointment only for all drop-offs, pick-ups, training visits, and consultations. This allows for focused, uninterrupted care and training for every dog.
The hours listed below reflect our general availability; however, as a working kennel, hours may vary based on training schedules, holidays, or operational needs. For this reason, all appointments and availability must be confirmed in advance.
General Appointment Hours:
- Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. - Saturday
8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
(Closed Saturday afternoons) - Sunday

Walk-ins are not accepted.
Holiday Schedule
Old Salem Kennel may be closed or operate on limited hours during certain holidays. Holiday availability varies by date and must be discussed and confirmed in advance when scheduling reservations.
Appointment Windows
When scheduling an appointment, we kindly ask clients to allow a 30–45 minute arrival window. This flexibility is greatly appreciated, as Old Salem Kennel is a working kennel and training sessions are scheduled throughout the day.
Allowing a small arrival window helps us continue working dogs without unnecessary interruption.
Rates
Boarding
Boarding is charged per day, per dog, beginning on the day of drop-off regardless of time.
- Daily boarding rate: $40 per day, per dog
Old Salem Kennel does not offer shared kennels. Each dog is housed individually; therefore, no discounts are offered for shared kennels.
If a dog is picked up by 12:00 noon, there is no charge for that day.
If a dog is picked up in the afternoon, that day will be charged.
Boarding is available for approved dogs only. All vaccination requirements must be met prior to arrival.
Bathing Services (By Request Only)
Bathing services are optional and must be requested in advance at the time reservations are made. Bath requests cannot be added at drop-off or at the last minute.
- Basic bath – short coat (coat under 1 inch): $25
- Basic bath – long coat (coat over 1 inch): $40
Bath services must be scheduled and agreed upon prior to arrival.

Old Salem Kennel is located in Oconee County, Georgia, serving clients from Watkinsville, Athens, Bogart, Bishop, Farmington, Madison, Greensboro, and the Lake Oconee area. We also work with clients from the greater Atlanta, Augusta, and Macon regions, including those affiliated with the University of Georgia.
